The S Family | Platte City Photographer

This session has been a year in the making. I was supposed to take their family photos last Spring, but every weekend that we scheduled their session, it was rainy, cold or too wet. Then came allergy season and busy summer schedules. When the family contacted me again this Spring, it seemed like we were going to have the same problems as last year. Fortunately, we both had this past Sunday free and we just played it by ear – making sure that the forecast was really going to be sunny and warm. And thankfully it was!

They were such a fun family and I'm so happy we were finally able to meet up! I haven't made it through all of their session yet, but here are just a few of my favorites so far.

 

They also brought their dog, Jake, along. I think he's a little camera shy though. Every time I tried to take his photo, he found something else to look at. So I would move to where he was looking, only to have him look somewhere else. 🙂 I did capture him looking at the camera a few times though.
