ASA Race at Iowa Speedway
This past weekend my husband attempted to qualify for the ASA race at Iowa Speedway in Newton. All day Friday and part of Saturday were spent practicing and getting used to the car and track. Our daughters spent the day with their grandma watching their dad from the observation area above turn 4 (the stands were closed for the day). I spent the day taking photos and trying to stay out of the way of the crew members. On Saturday, our oldest daughter was able to come down to the pits and see everything up close and watch her dad on the track from the top of the hauler. Unfortunately, Tracy did not make the race, but I am so proud of him for attempting to do something he has wanted to do for a long time.
