I think it’s here to stay! | Platte City Photographer

I think Spring might actually be here to stay! It's finally warm enough to open the windows, to not need a jacket outside and for the kids to play outside in shorts. One of Miss M's favorite things to do when it warms up is to play in the sand. The turtle sand box has long been forgotten now that there is sand in the bottom of her play house. She will sit in there for hours, filling up her buckets with sand and then pretending that she's cooking something on the playhouse's stove.

I took my camera out this afternoon to capture her playing. After a few photos, she finally asked me why I'm always taking photos. My answer? "So I can remember everything." I've realized those every day moments that I don't have captured in photos, soon get forgotten about.

Here are a few photos from today. I know, the shoes don't really go with the whole playing in the play house thing, but it's a sight that we see every warm day – discarded shoes that are often forgotten about until later in the day or the next morning.
