The G Family | Kansas City Area Photographer

Another session from this past fall…

I met the G family shortly after we moved to the Kansas City area and had bought our first house. They lived around the corner and our oldest kids, who were close in age, soon became good friends. The mom of this family and I quickly became friends as well. I can still remember a couple of years later, while on a walk to the park, we shared the news that we were both pregnant again. And while we haven’t lived around the corner from each other for a few years, our kids have stayed friends (especially our youngest two) and us two moms try to get together for lunch or scrapbooking when we can – although she still scrapbooks and I just go and talk. šŸ™‚

For our session, we met on a gorgeous October morning. I couldn’t have asked for better weather for my fall sessions – the temperatures were nice and the rain either quickly ended long before the session started or held off for a few hours. Between this session and the session that I shared earlier this week, I think I have found some great spots for photos in this area! I loved the run down brick building with the porch area, the bright green accents and rustic staircases that we found. My only complaint about the area is that the buildings, or maybe it’s just the bricks, have settled and aren’t level! So if you notice that the bricks are level and the ground isn’t, or vice versa, that is why. šŸ™‚
