Tomorrow | Platte City Child Photographer

Tomorrow she will be six! It seems like it wasn't that long ago that my husband and I were driving to the hospital at midnight and hoping that it wasn't false labor. While my oldest daughter was almost 2 weeks overdue, Miss M was 3 days early and I wasn't prepared for a February birthday – I had prepared myself for her to be very late as well.

She is very excited about turning six and having a birthday party on Valentine's Day. She originally wanted a Princess party. Then it was Chuck E. Cheese. Thankfully I convinced her to do something else instead. 🙂 So we settled on having a Valentine's Day Princess Tea Party.

As I was looking through photos from the past six years, I realized that a) I have A LOT of photos, b) I need a better filing system for my personal photos, c) I am so thankful that I have all of those photos, as I have forgotten so many things and d) while many things have changed over the past six years, many things have also stayed the same.

She has always loved shoes and clothes – the more colorful and sparkly the better! In so many of the photos that I went through, she was wearing sunglasses and several pieces of jewelry. She still loves to wear those things today. Her pouty face hasn't changed much. She still has the ability to make clothes that shouldn't go together, look like they do. Her love of books is still going strong and she is still trying to keep up with her older sister.

Here are just a few of my favorite photos…

What a wonderful collage of photos! I thought of Mara on the 13th; sorry I wasn’t on the ball enough to send a real card or email. Hope the tea party was awesome:)
